Samsung Galaxy A73 – Product Overview
Display: The display adds to the beauty of the A73 5G, however, and the only deformity on the front is the compact selfie camera which rests within the screen itself, a design Samsung calls ‘Infinity-O’ but one which is commonly known as punch hole display. You don’t get a flagship resolution like in the Galaxy S22 Plus 5G, but the Full HD+ offering here will be pleasing to most users. Samsung has also introduced a more premium feature to the A73 – a 120Hz refresh rate that lets you enjoy scrolling, typing, watching videos, photos and playing games without any pulsing.
Camera: Gone are the days when budget phones would feature a single camera and still compete favorably in the market. Currently, if you want to compete you would want to invest heavily in the Camera. Samsung knows that right. It comes packed with a quad camera setup at the rear, which is fixed in a slightly raised camera bump. The rear includes a 108 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide, 8 MP bokeh (for blurred background portraits) and 5 MP macro (for close-up snaps) array. Meanwhile, the front features a 32 MP selfie camera.
There are plenty of options to choose from if you’re photogenic. The night mode has notably been improved, and the Galaxy A53 will capture 12 images in one for better low light results. The filters are easy to access and give you the quality you deserve without the need to even have a Snapchat Account.
Performance: Powering the Galaxy A73 is Samsung’s homemade Exynos 1280, which is the first 5 nm chipset to find its way into this A series. Samsung claims the Exynos ups AI performance by 30%, GPU performance by 45% and CPU performance by 20% when compared with the previous generation chip. This means the Galaxy A53 5G is able to handle the heaviest games and intensive apps. But you would like to get the Sony PlayStation 5 (PS5) for gaming. The hardware also includes a 128GB Internal Memory and 8GB RAM to efficiently run multiple tasks.
Battery: Although the Price sees the Galaxy A53 rub shoulders with other 5G mid-range smartphones like the Mi 11 Lite, OnePlus Nord 2, and the new iPhone SE 2022, the battery sets it a bar above them. It even packs a bigger battery compared to the more expensive Oppo Find X5. The A73 comes with a sizable 5,000mAh battery, which claims two days of power and is supported by a 25W Super Charger which juices up the phone from 0% – 50% in 30 minutes.
